Background: Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) runs one of the largest not-for-profit private healthcare systems in the country, with a focus on the regions of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. Its core focus includes initiatives for hard-to-reach populations through services like outreach clinics, training of community midwives to provide low-cost health services in remote areas, screening for non-communicable diseases, and digital health solutions.

Position Summary: Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for a competent Driver base at Regional Office, Gilgit.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Please remember that the vehicle entrusted to you is the property of the organization. Any misuse or dishonesty is strictly prohibited. Ensuring its safety is your primary responsibility.
  • Punctuality is extremely important; failure to adhere to duty timings may adversely affect the organization’s interests.
  • Check engine oil, radiator water level, tire pressure, fuel level, and battery acid on a daily basis.
  • During servicing, special attention must be given to oil leakage or faults in the front and rear of the vehicle, gearbox oil level, wheel bearing grease, air cleaner element cleaning, lights, wiring, brake oil, and brake shoes.
  • Before proceeding on duty, thoroughly inspect and ensure that the brakes and steering are functioning properly.
  • Before starting any journey, ensure the availability of all vehicle-related documents, spare tire, jack and handle, valid driving license and renewed vehicle documents, wheel spanner, screwdriver, pliers, and puncture repair kit in the vehicle.
  • Safeguarding the organization’s goods during transit and delivering them safely to the designated location is part of the driver’s duties.
  • Submit all vehicle documents to the concerned officer on time to ensure timely renewal of registration.
  • At the end of duty, it is mandatory to obtain the concerned officer’s signature on the logbook; failure to do so may result in an inquiry.
  • During duty, delivering materials to the assigned location and returning them to the vehicle after completion of work is also the driver’s responsibility.
  • Carrying passengers without the permission of the officer on duty is strictly prohibited unless prior approval is granted.

 

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Middle
  • At least three (03) years of experience.
  • Valid driving license for Motor Car/Jeep/LTV.

 

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview. Considering the urgency of positions, interviews will be conducted on rolling basis
