Consultancy Objectives:

The consultants will be responsible for successful delivery of Training of Trainers, facilitation of training session, orientation meeting with Programme Management Unit (PMU) and facilitators team before TOTs, and quality assurance of delivery of training contents.

Scope and Objective of Work:

The consultants will be responsible for successful delivery of Trainings of Trainers on GBV, Child marriage and Social Cohesion under Aawaz II. They will also be involved in revising of training materials (if needed). They will also be responsible for effective conduction of Training of Trainers, facilitation of training session, orientation meeting with Programme Management Unit (PMU) and consultants’ team before TOTs, and quality assurance of delivery of training contents.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Consultants will review capacity building documents of Aawaz II
  • Consultant will review core and thematic module, i.e., i) ToT Manual on GBV, ii) ToT Manual on Child Marriage, iii) ToT manual on Social Cohesion and provide their input for refining, in consultation with PMU (if required)
  • Consultants will may also be required to provide input for reviewing and supporting for the development of agendas and resource materials for capacity building activities.
  • Participate in preparation/orientation sessions with consultants, PMU and SPO 
  • Capacity building sessions are residential; the consultant must be available for late evening (if needed)
  • Conduct and facilitate sessions on Aawaz II thematic areas; i.e. GBV, child marriage, social cohesion and inclusion of marginalised groups
  • Conduct and facilitate sessions on the rights and inclusion of women, children, youth, religious minorities, persons with disabilities and transgender persons
  • Consultants will develop and implement group activities, focusing behaviour change and community engagement, for participants of capacity building sessions on Aawaz II topics
  • Consultants will observe the mock cascade sessions will be conducted by the trainees, grade them, and guide them on content, delivery and facilitation skills, and fill online “observer’s checklist for evaluating group work”
  • Consultants will provide inputs/information for training reports as required
  • Consultants will participate in debriefing session daily at the end of the day

Deliverables:

  • Participation in meeting/orientation session with other facilitators, SPO and PMU
  • Facilitation of 5 days Orientation of Master Facilitators on ACA Module
  • Provision of filled online “observer’s checklist for evaluating group work”
  • Participate in daily debriefing session at the end of the day
  • Submission of key observations and recommendations report

Requirements:

  • 15 years of experience in the development/social sector
  • Expertise in capacity building, including developing and implementing Training of Trainers (ToTs), youth engagement, and manual development.
  • Experience in capacity building interventions related to Aawaz II topics such as gender, gender-based violence (GBV), child marriage, inclusion, and social cohesion.
  • Experience in capacity building and community engagement and behaviour change on Aawaz II priority groups and thematic topics
  • Experience using audio/video tools for the effective delivery of training contents.
  • The candidate must have expertise on implementing capacity building activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab specifically focusing rights of women, youth, religious minorities, persons with disabilities, transgender persons and other vulnerable groups and mandatory experience in youth engagement
