THE POSITION:

This position is located at Head office in Quetta and reports to the Manager PMER

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE POSITION:

S/he will ensure the implementation of the knowledge management and C&V activities as per guidelines. S/he will also provide input for all kinds of information, communication, and education material to be designed for this action. S/he will also be responsible for coordinating with field teams for identification and documentation of the success stories and case studies and will also ensure the visibility of this action as per Donor’s guidelines during all key events organized at district level

More Specifically:

Communication:

  • Lead the development and implementation of organization and Project’s Communication Strategy and Annual Communication Plan.
  • Develop and disseminate engaging and informative press releases, news articles, and op-eds in coordination with print media.
  • Ensure regular updates on organization’s official social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube) including reels, vlogs, quotes, infographics, and stories aligned with key milestones and international days.
  • Produce and supervise audio-visual content, including short videos, beneficiary interviews, project vlogs, and reels for dissemination on TV channels, social media, and community WhatsApp groups.
  • Liaise with local and national media for coverage of ORGANIZATION events, field activities, and special campaigns.
  • Review and manage content for ORGANIZATION’s official website, ensuring regular updates and compliance with branding guidelines.
  • Coordinate with communication focal persons at all levels for real-time content and updates.
  • Guide the overall administration and coordination of the communications section.

Visibility:

  • Undertake frequent field visits to collect high-quality success stories, case studies, quotes, and visuals highlighting project impacts, especially from women and marginalized groups.
  • Ensure compliance with donor visibility guidelines in all branding, signage, publications, and audio-visual content.
  • Organize and manage public and stakeholder events, including scriptwriting for stage secretaries, branding, media invitations, and press coverage.
  • Maintain a digital media repository including approved photos, videos, media clippings, and promotional materials.
  • Develop and standardize IEC material, including brochures, flyers, banners, and newsletters in consultation with all program sections.
  • Support in the preparation and distribution of E-bulletins, bi-annual newsletters, and donor updates with impactful visuals and stories.
  • Develop and update a succinct presentation of project focusing more on project Communication.
  • Make a consolidated sheet with all the stakeholders and state the frequency of engagement and person responsible. Constituency handling for C&V - stakeholders list, frequency of interaction with the stakeholders - with responsibility
  • Coordinate with all the sections and collate all the IEC material and do a thorough review. Standardize all IEC Material.
  • Case studies / case stories / success stories. Human Stories, beneficiary-based visibility is very important. Recording / clips of beneficiary is very important.
  • Review the coordination between various sections C&V components and its visibility on Website, FB and media
  • Support donor’s C&V team in developing quarterly E-Bulletins/ Bi-Annual Newsletters containing success stories, updates of activities and progress and messages from Government Officials.
  • Manage Events, Stakeholder list, Invitation Cards, Stage Secretary, Social Media Coverage, Print Media Coverage
  • Liaison with local media on regular basis and take them on field visits to the communities for wider dissemination
  • Develop documentaries to visually share the concepts, components and highlights of project and its achievements, to be shared through TV, social media, events and WhatsApp.
  • Short videos/reels/V-log in the form of beneficiary interviews, stakeholder interviews and sharing visuals of the project activities to be shared on social media, WhatsApp and Facebook groups and Seminars
  • Engage the media to publish/broadcast positive news and updates about the project to create an endorsement for the programme and share the clippings and links through social media and the website as well
  • Capacity building of the KM and C&V Assistants on Success Story writing and case study writing and overall communication skills.

Media Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and national print and electronic media houses.
  • Coordinate media field visits to document stories, take interviews, and gather real-time footage for broader outreach.
  • Monitor media mentions and coverage of ORGANIZATION initiatives and maintain a record for reporting purposes.
  • Ensure positive media portrayal of ORGANIZATION’s work through proactive media pitches, media briefings, and timely sharing of success updates.

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS internally with all functional departments within ORGANIZATION.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Journalism, Development Studies or related field
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in communications, media relations, and content development for the development sector
